AIMIT Centre of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Plastics for Change India Foundation on 23rd May 2025. The collaboration aims to involve MBA final-year students in real-world sustainability efforts through activities like plastic waste management, beach clean-up drives, and environmental awareness campaigns. The MoU outlines a six-month engagement where 60 students will participate in field-based projects, workshops, and outreach programs focused on responsible plastic usage and community impact.
To mark the beginning of this initiative, a Beach Clean Drive was organized on 1st June 2025 at Someshwara and Bengre beaches, where over 200 student volunteers took part. The drive emphasized the importance of youth involvement in protecting natural ecosystems and reducing plastic pollution. This partnership reinforces AIMIT’s commitment to shaping environmentally conscious leaders and encouraging hands-on learning beyond the classroom.
