Bioinformatics students to work on real time projects

The students of Bioinformatics department together with Mrs Anushree Raj, coordinator of the department, visited Fr Muller Medical College (FMMC) Research Centre on September 7.

Dr Animikh Ray, scientist-C and associate professor, FMMC briefed them on various areasof research projects and offered then semester break minor projects in the field of bioinformatics. Students were asked to select topics to carry on research project.

Dr Ray encouraged students to develop their skill sets and knowledge which were of current need. He expressed his opinion on how the science is moving, among other things, towards research in bioinformatics.

All students of Bioinformatics were assigned on real time projects and they will work as collaborators as part of FMMC research centre.
