The hostel food court was blessed by Finance Officer, Fr Fredrick Menezes SJ here on January 7. The new facility will be managed by the AIMIT management for the first time. The kitchen started functioning from morning with students being served their first breakfast prepared in-house.
Speaking on the occasion, director of the hostels Fr Joy Rodrigues SJ said that the Institute wanted the hostel students to be happy and hence was taking a keen interest in serving them good food. He also said that the mess will be open for day scholars in the afternoon for lunch.
The kitchen is managed for the present by two chefs from SAC gents’ hostel from Mangalore – Mr Sridhar Kulaland & Mr Suresh Belchada. Both are experienced cooks who have years of experience cooking in the hostel mess.
