The teaching fraternity at AIMIT, St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University) attended a workshop organised by the department of Community Medicine (DCM), Father Muller Medical College (FMMC), Mangalore on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on January 23.

The resource persons were Dr Sudhir Prabhu H, professor and HOD, DCM, Dr Nishanth Krishna, associate professor, DCM and Dr Aneesha Thomas, assistant professor, DCM, FMMC.

Hands-on session was provided to the staff on how to aid patients in case of choking as well as how to administer CPR in case of emergency. The session provided useful insights and all staff were encouraged to perform CPR on the dummies during the training session as well as aid in releasing the foreign bodies in case of choking individuals.
