The MSc Software Technology department at AIMIT, St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University), Beeri, Mangalore, Karnataka is happy to have groomed a few of its students to be entrepreneurs. Santhosh Rebello, the Dean of IT department proudly states, “The students here in our department are exposed to the entrepreneurial practices worldwide, and are encouraged to start their own companies. Many of our students have their own start up’s and are doing good.”
The latest to add to this proud alumnus is Clytan D’Silva, post graduate student of 2018-2020 batch of the PG SoftTech. “Clytan has been one of our smartest students, keen in learning new things and developing projects during his course of study,” recalls Dr S. Ruban, HOD of PG Soft Tech.
Clytan D’Silva has already started a new IT company specialising in providing IT services such as developing web applications, android based apps and standalone applications. His new initiative has won him wide appreciation from all his friends and he is looking forward to move to greater heights in the days to come. He has even taken a few employees who are working with him and is planning to hire more employees in the days to come.
“Entrepreneurial journey is amazing. However, discipline and hard work are important to be successful.” says Clytan. “Studying at AIMIT helped me to focus myself to venture into this amazing journey of being an entrepreneur,” he adds.
