Dr S Ruban, from the PG department of Software Technology, delivered a guest lecture on the topic “AI over healthcare: What, why and how”, to the B.E. Computer Science and Engineering students of Noorul Islam university, Kumaracoil, Kanyakumari district on July 11.
He spoke on the recent trends of Artificial Intelligence over healthcare, and the possibilities available for the students to develop AI based applications that would help the community at large. He also elaborated on the various kinds of applications developed by the Software Technology students in collaboration with medical institutions in Mangalore.
The students also interacted asking about various challenges in developing these applications. Many students showed interest to take up healthcare projects after consultation with the local government hospital and medical doctors.
The session was arranged by Dr. V. G. Ranjith, HOD of the department of Computer Science and Engineering, Noorul Islam university.
