The 21stedition of the national level IT &engineering fest was conducted on August 4 and 5, at AIMIT St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University).The theme for this year was‘Retro’.

The programme was inaugurated on August 4 by Prashanth Shenoy Katpady, director, CEO, Mangalore InfotechSolutions Pvt. Ltd.

In his address, Mr Katpady said, “It is very important to understand where the technology world is moving.As students you must all adapt to the new technologies and keep yourselves updated, so that you will be able to get the opportunity to work with the new age companies where the new technologies are the new normal.”

In the presidential address, Dr (Fr) Praveen Martis SJ urged that Mangalorians must come back to Mangalore and help in the development of this place. “We must all create a harmonious and welcoming situation here. There are so many potential people in Mangalore that job opportunities must be created for all,” he said.

Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ, Director, AIMIT, Dr Hemalatha N, Dean (academics, IT), staff coordinators, and student coordinators were also present on the stage.

Nine student teams from various BE and MCA colleges had registered forEpitome2022. Various competitions of Epitome were spread across two days.

The valedictory of Epitome was held on August 5, at AIMIT. It was graced by Padmashree Alva, director, Talent & Initiatives, MResult, and presided over by FrMelwin Pinto SJ-the Rector, St Aloysius College.

Ms Alva said that coming forward to participate in events itself is a victory. So all participants of Epitome were winners, she said.

Fr Melwin Pinto S J, Rector, St Aloysius institutions delivered the presidential address. The champions of Epitome 2022 were students of NMAMIT, Nitte while Srinivas University students were the runners up.
