The department of MBA conducted an industry-academia interaction in association with Lotus Knowelwealth Pvt Ltd on February 12. Pankaj Mathkar, the resource person from Lotus Knowlewealth Pvt Ltd spoke about ‘Capital market awareness’ to the students of II MBA.
The session began with Mr Mathkar explaining about the idea of evolution of investment and saving. He explained how Asset Management and Portfolio Management are necessary for wealth generation and financial independence. He then explained the importance of time value of money highlighting the need of starting early for maximum wealth generation. Having a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) and understanding various investment instruments that are available in the capital marketand their pros and consschemes are vital in order to gain from investing activity.
The programme concluded with precautions to be taken by investors while trading in the capital market and some suggestions to begin trading.
