The national level intercollegiate UG fest – InfoVision 2022 was held at Information Technology Department of AIMIT on August 5. It was coordinated by staff coordinators Dr Santhosh B and Aravinda Prabhu and student coordinators Rohan and Josphine.
Adarsh Prabhu, associate director, Niveus Solutions Pvt. Ltd., inaugurated the programme, Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ, Director, AIMIT, St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru presided over the function. The theme of the event was ‘Retro Back to 70s’.
In his address, Mr Prabhu emphasised on the change in technologies in the past two decades and the importance of dedication, hard work and soft skills which can be gained through these kinds of events where students learn to interact and gain management skills. He quoted cricketer Anil Kumble as saying that his achievement of taking 10 wickets in a match against Pakistan was a result 20 years of determination and dedication.
In his presidential address Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ pointed out dedication and determination needed to be followed by students by mentioning a quote of swami Vivekananda ‘the youths are not useless but used less’.Thirty five teams registered from colleges across the district of Dakshina Kannada.
