Divya Raj K and Nijeesha G, final year students of MCA have successfully completed the sponsored project granted by St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University). The project was titled ‘Pravathi – helping hands: An online platform for the socio weakened society of India’.The project consisted seed money given to encourage budding researchers to take up innovative projects.
They did their research work under the guidance of Dr Santhosh B, Associate Professor and HOD, department of MCA, AIMIT. The objective of this project was to allow people to report against various issues happening around them. The project would be beneficial to society as well as the general public who might be victims of several social injustices.
“Those who are either afraid to come in the open and raise their voices or are afraid to bring the issue to the consideration of the authorities can use this platform,” informed Divya Raj K. “This project opens an online platform for those who are volunteering to serve society as well as those who need support to forefront and seek help,” said Nijeesha K.
Incidentally, the students won the first place in a state level conference for the research paper on ‘Pravathi’ held at Smt. Rukmini Shedthi Memorial National Govt First Grade College and Post Graduate Study Centre, Barkur.
