St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT), St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University), Mangalore together with Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCDS), Mangalore conducted a one-day oral screening camp to students, faculty members and non-teaching staff of AIMIT campus on May 29.

This camp was organized to create an awareness on the occasion of‘World no tobacco day’. Dr Kaveri and Dr Rakshitha from the MCDS, gave a series of talks to students about the harmful effects of using tobacco and the need to stop using it to avoid disastrous impact in the body.

Around 164 students and other staff underwent the free check up. Every participant was given free advice about their oral hygiene and those who required further treatment were advised to go to MCDS on Light House Hill Road, Mangalore.

This camp was coordinated by DrRakesh Kumar, DrS. Ruban from AIMIT and DrRamya Shenoy and DrJefferson from MCDS. AIMIT has an MOU with MCDS.
