MSc Software Technology students of AIMIT St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) conducted a student outreach programme called ‘Mahiti Sindhu’ for school children studying in classes 6 and 7 at Ramakrishna High School (English medium) and Canara High School (Kannada medium) on February 24. This programme was aimed at creating awareness about computers, including computer basics, online safety and machine learning tools designed specifically for children.

The sessions were a vibrant mix of activities like quizzes, games like pick and speak and dumb charades, and challenging puzzles, all designed to keep students actively engaged and thus test their newfound knowledge. Students from both schools actively participated and were rewarded for their outstanding efforts. Valuable feedback was collected to further enhance future programmes. The entire batch of Software Technology students were involved in this programme. They were happy to share their knowledge, and also experienced the joy of giving back to the community and inspiring the next generation of learners.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr S Ruban, Dr Srinivas B.L, Mrs Suchetha Vijayakumar, faculty members of the department.
