Multimodal Human Computing webinar conducted by IT Department

Department of Information Technology, AIMIT, conducted a webinar titled ‘Multimodal Human Computing’ for students, scholars and teaching faculties on June 26, 2021.Dr N S Sreekanth, Associate Professor, Department of Information Technology, Kannur University was the resource person of the webinar. There were 72 participants.

Multimodal human-computer interaction refers to the ‘interaction with the virtual and physical environment through natural modes of communication’. This implies that multimodal interaction enables more free and natural communication, interfacing users with automated systems in both input and output.

Dr Sreekanth explained this topic with various examples and also shared his experience on the same. In the question answer session that followed, he further said that there are a lot of chances for future researches as the number of people working in this area was less.
