The students of I MBA were invited to AIMIT campus on January 4, 2021, for an orientation programme to the MBA course. The programme began with a prayer service. Fr Joy Rodrigues SJ led the students to seek God’s blessings on the start of the new academic year.
Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ, Director, AIMIT welcomed the students and gave a brief introduction about Jesuits (Society of Jesus) and Jesuit education. He also highlighted the vision and mission of the Jesuits; namely to provide spiritual exercises, walking with the excluded, journeying with youth and caring for our common home.
Fr Pinto advised the students to be prepared not just for a career but for life. “Jesuit education takes a holistic approach and grooms students for overall personality development and personal and collective responsibility,” he said. Fr Pinto also advised the students to dream big.
Dr Rowena Wright, Dean, Department of MBA gave a brief introduction of the MBA department and the course highlights. Mrs SumithaAchar, a faculty member, explained the rules, regulations and general guidelines.
