The Department of MCA at AIMIT welcomed the new batch of students for the academic year on January 5, 2021.  The inauguration was held in the MDP Hall at 9.30 a.m. The programme began with a prayer song followed by scripture readings from the Holy Bible, the Bhagavat Gita and the Holy Quran. The students were introduced to the campus and its features through a few videos.

Santhosh Rebello, Dean of IT Department welcomed the gathering. He introduced the Department and the technologies that the department had to offer.
Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ, Director, AIMIT introduced the Society of Jesus and their mission for vision for the world. He highlighted the importance of Jesuit Education that is based on a nearly 500-year-old tradition that aims to form students intellectually, morally and spiritually to become men and women for and with others.

He invited the students to utilise all resources that AIMIT had to offer, especially the faculty members of the Department for all their academic and personality development needs.
Dr Santhosh B, Head of the MCA Department, proposed the vote of thanks. The inaugural programme came to an end on a happy note with the students familiarising themselves with their teachers and fellow class mates in the ice – breaking session that followed. Those who had not done the COVID test were given an opportunity to undergo the test.
