Post graduate department of Business Administration at AIMIT (St Aloysius College), organized a one day Undergraduate Fest- Inception 2018 ‘Decode Your Destiny’, on 19th February 2018. The inaugural session began through the prayerful symphony of invocation by college choir and a breath taking video presentation on Management.

Dr. Yusuf A. Kumble graced the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurated “Inception 2018”. The chief guest who is the Managing Director and renowned interventional cardiologist of Indiana hospital in his address to the students and participants enlightened and emphasized on listening to the inner voice to decode our destiny. He as a person always focused on being the best in whichever profession he takes up and aimed at rendering maximum service to the people. He mentioned that one must have a dream which is realistic and stresses that hard work is the key to success. He decoded his destiny with a blend of team work, hard work, passion, consistent effort, competing against situation and not with rivals or peers and by carefully choosing the competencies. Mr. Royce Baretto, the faculty coordinator welcomed the gathering, the student co-ordinator Mr. Goldin D’souza gave the bird’s eye view of Inception 2018 and Mrs Ashley D’souza delivered the vote of thanks.

Rev. Fr. Denzil Lobo S.J. the Director of AIMIT provided his insights on leadership and motivation with a very simple yet effective quote “Success is when you look back at your life and memories make you smile”. Then he emphasized the importance of positive attitude with the example of people who overcame major disabilities in life and made a conscious choice to be successful and now they stand as inspirational figures for us all. He focused on the importance of time management with a few questions and the benefits that provides to individuals. He gave the example of neurons and computers stating that human beings only use 5% of their thinking capacity and that we should work hard to raise the bar for ourselves.
Around 150 students from various colleges from Mangalore, Udupi, Puttur and Bhatkal participated in this one day fest and exhibited enthusiastic and energetic performance in various events. There were four rounds with the concept of Corporate Battle. There were culturals from participants and our students. The event concluded with AIMIT song.
