Powered by Niveus Solutions, Soft Tech course inaugurated

The inaugural ceremony of department of Software Technology was held on February 7 at AIMIT, St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University). Dr Hemalatha N, Dean IT, and DrS Ruban, HOD of the department escorted the dignitaries to the dais.

Officials from Niveus Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a cloud-born engineering services firm and a premier Google Cloud Partner in India and Singapore who are the industry partners of Software Technology course were present on the occasion.

Shipra Rai, vice president, people’s operation and Adarsh Prabhu, associatedirector represented Niveus.

In her message, Ms Rai gave students an insight intothe opportunities available in the IT industry in Mangalore and how such opportunities can be used as a foundation to build a career in the IT world. She also said that soft skills and good communication skills were as important as technical skills.

Director Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ called upon the students to take every opportunity to grow as a software professional and achieve greater heights in their career.

DrS Ruban proposed the vote of thanks. DrHemalatha N,welcomed the gathering. The inaugural ceremony was coordinated by Aravinda Prabhu together with Suchetha Vijay, Nausheedha and Srinivas, faculty members of the department.

Later part of the inaugural session was a technical talk Adarsh Prabhu.
