St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University) has been approved by Mangalore University to start two year Master’s program in Big Data Analytics. The M.Sc.(Big Data Analytics) will commence from July 2018 at the AIMIT campus of St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University),Mangalore. St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University) will be one of the few colleges in Karnataka to offer this PG program which will prepare students for careers in Data Analytics. The M.Sc.(Big Data Analytics) program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation for applying statistical methods to solve real-world problems. They will have a broad knowledge of the application of statistical tools, techniques, and methods, as well as the ability to conduct in-depth analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. The programme equips students with the skill and relevant competence to handle all practical problems faced by industry, and will produce leaders for the IT and Big Data industry and profession. It also prepares students for advanced study in areas of their interest. Courses like Business Intelligence and Data Mining, Big Data Analytics with Map Reduce and Hadoop, Soft Skills module to tap full potential of the students by improving time and self-management, communication skills, team spirit, confidence even and career building attitude.
