Dr Hemalatha N, dean of the IT Department welcomed the gathering and spoke about various initiatives that the department was taking with the support of ICT Academy such as FDPs, webinars for students and also various activities through industry tie-ups with companies such as Salesforce, Oracle, Palo Alto Cyber Security etc.
Dr Ruso began the session with a simple poem for programmers to enkindle interest in programming for the students and explained various programming tools and technologies that students need to lookout for. He explained Java 1.8 Spring Tools with a hands-on. He also explained different technologies that are essential for the future and to be job-ready. The session ended with a question-answer session. There were more than 180 participants for the session.
