The PG Department of Business Administration conducted a webinar series on ‘Be a confident communicator- hidden skills for aspiring leaders’ from July 23 to 25, 2020. The in-house staff members of the department were the resource persons. This webinar series was attended by over 200 participants.

On the first day, Mr Clifford D’Costa spoke about ‘Mastering the spoken word’. The session began with an introduction by DrRowena Wright, Dean (Academics). She spoke about the need for communication in today’s competitive world and also introduced the resource person to the participants. Mr D’Costa introduced the basics of English language and also gave a few tips to improve communication skills.

The next webinar in the series was conducted up by Mrs Divya Pereira. This session was themed ‘Acing interviews’. Topics such as types of interviews, most commonly asked interview questions, examples and sample templates were covered.

In the final webinar in the series, Dr Swapna Rose spoke about ‘Communication strategies for a virtual age’. The webinar covered two important aspects of virtual communication, netiquettes and guidelines for virtual presentation. The session was interactive as participants were involved in activities such as role play and audience polls.
