Department of Bioinformatics of AIMIT organised a ‘Hands on training in Bioinformatics’ for students of SAC with various electives of biochemistry at AIMIT on May 6. Students were led by Ms Shameena K. A., HOD of Biochemistry, St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University). Dr Hemalatha, Dean of IT introduced the students the scope of bioinformatics in the present scenario.
Ms Kavitha, guest faculty along with Dhananjay and Prathyush, I year Bioinformatics students, gave a hands-on session with respect to various tools in Bioinformatics. Students were also given a small assignment as part of the training.
