Department of IT organised aworkshop on ‘Advanced Technologies and Career Prospective’ for the BCA and BSC-CS students of Dr P Dayananda Pai- P Satisha Pai Government First Grade College Mangalore on September 29, 2021.
Thomas CG, from department of Information Technology took a session on Introduction to Mobile App Development using Android. He introduced the Android OS, its features and the working of an Android App. He also demonstrated various applications of Android in today’s world and how to develop an App using Android Studio and run it on a virtual device.
Dr Ruban, HoD of Msc-ST took a session on ‘Career prospective’ for the students and covered different options that the BCA students have. The session covered the job opportunities, scope of higher education, government exams, short term courses etc. Each of the choices was elaborated with its opportunities and challenges.
Dr Hemalatha, Dean of IT, addressed the students and spoke about various courses offered by the department and also mentioned the different MoUs, placements and different collaborations with industries that IT department has.
