The renovated AIMIT Chapel was blessed and inaugurated on Tuesday, August 9. Rector of St Aloysius Intuitions Fr Melwin Pinto SJ cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Chapel.

There was a holy mass officiated by Bishop of Mangalore Rev. (Dr) Peter Paul Saldanha. In his homily, Bishop Saldanha called upon the faithful to be aware of God’s presence in holy places. “God continually wants to meet us. He meets us at different places and through different circumstances. However, a place like this chapel can create an environment for us to find him,” he said.

After the holy mass, there was a short felicitation programme. The main persons involved in the renovation work were felicitated. Richard Rodrigues, the contractor, Valerian Mascarenhas, carpentry section, Steevan Noronha, supervisor, Jeevan Salian, artist, Venu and Prasad, electricians were felicitated.

Principal Dr (Fr) Praveen Martis SJ and other fathers from St Aloysius College were present. Director, Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto SJ proposed vote of thanks.
